Cricket Betting Markets
Cricket is not just for watching — every ball, every over can be a new opportunity. These markets are available at bet9 for major tournaments including BPL, IPL, and the T20 World Cup.
| Market Type | Example and Description |
|---|---|
| Match Winner (Match Winner) |
Bet on which team will win a Bangladesh vs India match. The simplest and most popular market. |
| Toss Winner (Toss Winner) |
Which team will win the toss — entirely luck-based, a 50/50 chance. |
| Top Batsman (Top Batsman) |
Which batsman will score the most runs for their team in the match. Form and pitch analysis come in handy. |
| Total Runs Over/Under (Total Runs Over/Under) |
Bet on whether the runs scored in an innings will be more or less than a set number. |
| Runs in an Over (Runs in an Over) |
How many runs will be scored in a specific over — particularly exciting in live betting. |
| Method of Dismissal (Method of Dismissal) |
How will the next wicket fall — bowled, caught, run out, or LBW? |
| Player of the Match (Player of the Match) |
Bet on who will be named player of the match at the end of the game. |
In live in-play betting, odds change after every ball. When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds increase; a big over during the powerplay shows pressure on the bowling side.
View Cricket BettingCrash Games — Fast and Thrilling
A crash game is a completely new type of online game where a multiplier grows every moment. Aviator by Spribe is the most well-known name in this category.
How a round works: you place your bet before the round begins. A plane (or in other games, a rocket or vehicle) starts flying and the multiplier keeps increasing. You can cash out at any time — your bet is then multiplied by the multiplier at that moment.
But at a certain point the plane "crashes" — if you have not cashed out before then, you lose your entire bet. The auto cash-out feature lets you set a multiplier target in advance.
Responsible gaming advice: Set a stop limit before you start playing. Since rounds in crash games move very quickly, managing your budget is especially important.
How to Read Odds
Understanding odds is the most important step in betting. bet9 uses decimal odds — the simplest format.
Example of Decimal Odds
You bet ৳500 at odds of 1.80. If you win, you get: ৳500 × 1.80 = ৳900 (profit ৳400). The higher the odds, the higher the potential win — but the lower the chance of winning.
Implied Probability
Odds reveal the probability: 1 ÷ odds × 100 = probability percentage. Odds of 1.80 mean the bookmaker considers the chance of winning to be around 55.6%.
A brief comparison of other formats
- Fractional Odds (common in the UK): 4/5 means ৳4 profit on a ৳5 bet
- American Odds (Moneyline): +180 means ৳180 profit on a ৳100 bet; -180 means ৳100 profit on a ৳180 bet
RTP and House Edge Explained
RTP, or Return to Player, is a theoretical figure that indicates what percentage of total bets is expected to be returned to players over the long run. For example, a 96% RTP means that theoretically, on average ৳96 comes back for every ৳100 wagered.
It is important to remember that RTP is calculated based on the average of millions of spins — it is not a guaranteed result for any single session. In the short term, outcomes can be completely different. Typical RTP ranges across game types are: slot games 92–98%, blackjack around 99%, roulette 94–97%. These ranges are general industry figures — check the game provider's information for the RTP of any specific game.
House edge is the flip side of RTP. A 96% RTP means a 4% house edge — this is the casino's long-term mathematical advantage. The lower the house edge, the more player-friendly the game. In blackjack, following the correct strategy can significantly reduce the house edge.
Knowing the RTP and house edge before you play helps you make more informed decisions. High-volatility games offer larger wins but they come less frequently; low-volatility games offer smaller but more frequent wins. Choosing a game that suits your budget and playing style is the smart move.
Quick Reference
Sports Betting vs Casino Games
| Category | Sports Betting | Casino Games |
|---|---|---|
| How outcomes are determined | Depends on real events — team performance, pitch, and weather. | Random number generator or dealer's cards and wheel. |
| Role of research | Form, statistics, and pitch analysis can influence the outcome. | Strategy (blackjack) has a role, but it is mainly luck-based. |
| Pace and rhythm | Slower, in line with match length — results after several hours. | Fast rounds — a few seconds to a few minutes. |
| Session length | Bets can be placed across multiple matches throughout a season. | Play can continue for as long as you like. |
| Margin | Bookmaker's overround — a slight built-in advantage in the odds. | House edge — can be 1–8% depending on the game. |
| Who it suits | Players who follow sports and enjoy statistical analysis. | Players who prefer entertainment and immediate excitement. |
Setting a budget and playing responsibly are equally important in both types of gaming. Cricket Betting or Slot Games — enjoy your preferred experience at bet9.
